THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY APPLIED TO THESE RE-NOTFIED VACANCIES IN RESPONSE TO THE UNIVERSITY NOTIFICATION No.Ad.D3/45212/2003 DATED 11.7.2003, Ad.D3/10121/04 DATED 5.10.2005 & RE-NOTIFICATION DATED 23.11.2006 AND No.Ad.D3/136/NOTIF/08 DATED 11.2.2009 HAVE TO APPLY AFRESH (ONLINE), BUT THEY ARE EXEMPTED FROM REGISTRATION FEE AND THEIR AGE LIMIT WILL BE AS PRESCRIBED IN THE EARLIER NOTIFICATIONS, ON SUBMISSION OF PROOF OF EARLIER APPLICATION SUCH AS RECEIPT OF THE FEE PAID/DD No. ETC., HOWEVER THEY MAY UPDATE THEIR QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE AS PER THE EXISTING UGC REGULATIONS AS ON THE DATE OF THIS NOTIFICATION FOR EACH POST RE-NOTIFIED.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

a.                Qualifications and Experience:

As prescribed by the UGC Regulations (Instruction sheets No.1 (General Instruction) and Instruction Sheet II containing details of qualification prescribed for the posts can be downloaded from the website of cusat university -www.cusat.ac.in(http://cusat.ac.in or http://faculty.cusat.ac.in))

b.               Age: For fresh candidates: Age as 01.01.2013 – Not more than 40 years.  For re-applicants; age limit prescribed in their first application will apply.  Age limit prescribed will be relaxed in the case of SC/ST and OBC candidates by 5 years and 3 years respectively.

c.                Other conditions:

The appointment against the above vacancies will be made as per UGC Regulations and reservation principles according to Cochin University of Science and Technology Act, 1986 and Kerala State Government Rules.  The posts earmarked for Reserved Categories are exclusively reserved for them as per the provisions in the Kerala State and Subordinate Service Rules.

d.               How to apply

1. Applications to the above posts have to be submitted online in the prescribed application form available in the CUSAT University website http://cusat.ac.in or http://faculty.cusat.ac.in
2. Separate applications with prescribed fees, should be submitted online for each post having separate serial numbers.
3. Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from universities outside Kerala should forward the eligibility certificate obtained from this University along with their application.
4. Candidates should apply online on or before 24.5.2013.
5. The hard copies (5 sets) of the filled up online applications (Part A & Part B) along with Registration Fee and copies of documents to prove age, community, qualifications, experience, copies of publications etc. should reach the Registrar, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi-682 022 before 4 p.m. on 06.06.2013.
6. Candidates who are employed should forward the hard copy of their application through proper channel with No Objection Certificate.
7. Late and defective applications will be summarily rejected.
8. Fee Details:

Registration Fee     :           1000/-(for general category candidates)
300/- (for SC/ST candidates)
USD 50/- (for applicants abroad)

9. Mode of Remittance:

By Cash (University Cash counter) or Demand Draft.  All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Cochin University of Science and Technology payable at the State Bank of Travancore, (Cochin University Campus Branch [Code 7-0235] Bank IFSC Code – SBT ROOOO235, MICR Code – 682009023, Swift Code – SBTRINBB235)
